This week, we finished our solid prototype which means our system is now housed in a box that can be easily inserted into the cockpit of any plane. We also wrapped up our poster (to the point where we need to tweak it a little on Monday). Cameron is mainly responsible for the beautiful poster, while Gabby and I built and laser cut the prototype. As a group, we also sent out a survey to different Air Traffic Controllers at LAX to get data. The results were amazing! In our survey, we made a decision to not put “Yes” as an option because how are ATCers supposed to know if our system is going to help them without even trying it? Instead, we put “No” and “Maybe” (as in it could possibly help them) as options in our survey. 100% of the people we surveyed said “Maybe”! Next week will be the forum and the start of making our final video. On Monday we are going to make final changes to our poster and website to make sure that they look the best that they can.
